Board-certified pediatric endocrinologist with deep expertise in obesity and the metabolic conditions that often accompany it, including insulin resistance, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), now also called PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) and type 2 diabetes.
His approach is individualized: for some, metabolic nutrition is the foundation; for others, GLP-1 receptor agonists are an important part of the plan. He has substantial experience with both.
Trained in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami and in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Pittsburgh. Former Division Chief, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters in pediatric endocrinology.

Registered dietitian nutritionist with more than 25 years of clinical and research experience in pediatric and adult metabolic care. Holds CDR Certificates of Training in adult and pediatric weight management.
At Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh she designed the treatment program and behavioral-change curriculum for the pediatric Weight Management and Wellness Center, anchoring care for children with obesity and their families.
She has spent more than two decades in obesity and diabetes research, from NIH-funded studies on the onset of type 1 diabetes in children to current trials on weight management and diabetes prevention in adults. Doctor of Medical Science (Northeastern); MS Nutrition and Dietetics (FIU). Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Dr. Ize-Ludlow brings the medical lens — evaluating each child's metabolic picture, deciding what approach is right for them, and managing any medications that are part of the plan.
Dr. Cedillo brings the nutrition lens — designing and guiding the medical nutrition therapy that supports long-term metabolic health, and walking alongside the family as the plan is put into practice.

Ekilibra does not bill insurance. We are an out-of-network specialty program, and families pay us directly. On request, we provide itemized documentation you can submit to your plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Whether your plan reimburses is entirely between you and your insurer, and we cannot predict or influence that outcome.
Before you commit to anything, you will receive a written estimate of what your care will cost.
Our program serves ages 8 and older. We also work with adult family members through age 64, because metabolic change is easier to sustain when the household is working on it together rather than one person going it alone.
Yes. Ekilibra extends your existing health team rather than replacing it. With your permission, we communicate and coordinate directly with your child’s pediatrician or specialist, and send them structured updates on progress. Your child stays their patient.
Ekilibra serves families in Florida and Utah, where our clinicians are licensed. Because licensure depends on where the patient is located during each visit, participants must be in Florida or Utah at the time of every session.
The pharmacy of your choice in the state where you live. We send prescriptions wherever you prefer.
The initial evaluation is $356 per participant. If you choose to continue, the program is $600 per month per participant for 90 days. See the Pricing section for what is included.
Check with your plan administrator before enrolling. Whether an expense is eligible depends on your plan and on the IRS rules for medical care, and administrators apply them differently. We provide itemized documentation of the services delivered, which you can submit to your administrator.
Schedule your evaluation from this site. Enrollment, forms, and payment are handled in our patient portal, where you will also sign the program agreement before starting.
Direct access to your care team
You message Dr. Ize-Ludlow or Dr. Cedillo directly, not a call center and not a nurse line. Routine questions get an answer the same business day. Your plan also includes a clear list of symptoms that mean call us right away, and a dedicated clinical line to reach a clinician seven days a week when they happen.
Pricing
Ekilibra fees are per participant. Each family member who joins the program has their own evaluation and their own monthly fee.
Step 2 — 90-day program: $600 per month per participant
If you choose to continue after your evaluation, the program runs for 90 days and includes, per participant:
- 8 sessions with your care team, a pediatric endocrinologist and a ketogenic dietitian, scheduled around your child's plan (the initial evaluation is separate)
- Direct messaging with Dr. Ize-Ludlow or Dr. Cedillo, answered the same business day, plus a dedicated clinical line for urgent concerns, seven days a week
- A blood ketone meter with starter supplies, strips, and lancets
- Coordination with your child's pediatrician, with your permission
Examples:
One teen: $356 evaluation, then $600 per month for 90 days ($1,800).
A teen and a parent: two evaluations ($712), then $1,200 per month for 90 days ($3,600).
Not included: laboratory tests, imaging, and medications are billed separately by the laboratory, imaging center, or pharmacy.
After 90 days
The program continues month to month at $600 per month per participant until you cancel. Full terms, including how to cancel, are in the program agreement you sign before starting.
Payment
We do not bill insurance. We provide itemized documentation of the services delivered, which you may submit to your plan.
